Polovtsian Paradise

This arrangement for Brass Quintet and Glockenspiel is based on the ‘Gliding Dance of the Maidens’, one of the Polovtsian Dances from ‘Prince Igor’ by the Russian composer Borodin. It is a well-known melody that is instantly identifiable since the popular vocal arrangement ‘Stranger in Paradise’ has been recorded by numerous artists and thus appeals to a variety of audiences.
